Paul Lagos

I did not know Paul peronally but I alternated drumming with him for the BEAU KOO JACKS a New Orleans group based in the Twin Cities from about 2004 thru present, also this brings up the memory of the estatic and ecclectic Bassist JD (John Sykes) who passed in the summer of 2008.
Both great enthusiastic players with passion and articulating technique. I first saw Paul with the Pure Food and Drug Act with Sugarcane Harris at Biddy Mulligans in Chicago while attending college at the American Conservatory in the late 70's. Paul like so many other great percussionists was a real inspiration. I have not been a career kit player till about 1995 a latecomer but worked at a Percussionist (hand drums and Cultural Music) out of college. Since then I have re embraced the world of Jazz, Blues and R&B.
Thanx Paul for your special touch and good vibe.
